: to take deep pleasure in knowing who they are and being in their presence.
The classic YWAM mission statement is “to know Jesus and make Him known”.
The Light of Delight is a fresh expression of this same mission, as we believe that our light cannot be hidden, when we genuinely dig deep into knowing and experiencing Jesus together, through loving each other and serving our community in practical replicable ways.
The Light and Delight DTS is rooted in Barcelona, where YWAM has a history of allowing creatives, intercessors, and servant leaders to develop the vision God has put in their hearts for this city in key areas such as the Arts, Skateboarding, Futbol, and Hospitality, the Catalan community. These environments of influence are not only natural in Barcelona but are also easily accessible in many different contexts around the world, whether on outreach or back in your home.
The Discipleship training program, undergirded by loving staff, and experienced teachers from around the world, is designed to help establish a firm foundation for your relationship with Jesus as a follower and one who can lead others to follow Him as well. This is taught through a curriculum of core components modeled by the life of Christ, so that you can be equipped to live a high impact missional life, rooted deep in a coherent and intimate relationship with Jesus. It is our goal to guide you through this process in a way that is practical, relevant to the modern global environment, and replicable in your life no matter where God leads you.

What you will experience.
As a result of this program, you WILL be changed. You will learn how to better read and understand the scripture and to discern Gods voice in your everyday life. You will know more about who you are in the sight and design of God. You will practice and experience your spiritual gifts, engage in intercession for the community and the nations. You will learn how to share the Good News, with your mouth and your actions. You will be pushed deeper in your dependance on God himself, personally and collectively. You will worship with all your heart. You will be challenged relationally and build long lasting relationships with your students and staff. You will be exposed to different cultures, languages and world views, both within and abroad. You will be inspired, you will be convicted, you will be equipped through hands on experience. Together we will delight in the Lord and be the Light that He declared we are in Him. In the end you will NOT be the same.
LECTURE PHASE
Are you ready to be transformed to transform the world? Jesus wants to change the world around you, but He starts with you. Lecture Phase is a time to learn what i tmeans to fully follow Jesus in the radical way he calls us into, to learn what it means to live out that change with others. Are you willing to give everything for the life that Jesus has for you? We promise it is worth it.
Jesus invites us into a new way of living whether on the mission field or back at home. We are raising up followers of Him who will hear his voice and be people of His presence no matter the place, no matter the position. Wherever He leads us we will go, and bring the everyday revolution.
OUTREACH PHASE
The Gospel is the good news that the Kingdom of Heaven has come and is coming to touch every area of life, meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the world. You will engage in bringing the presence of Heaven through care, evangelism, and through serving with mercy ministries, declaring the Good News of the Kingdom of God.
